We have tried to make our new website site as easy to navigate as possible but should you have need any assistance in using it or finding the information or records that you’re looking for, please get in contact by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, give us a call on 01273 323853 or pop into the shop at 8 Terminus Road, Brighton, BN1 3PD for a chat.
We aim to process all new orders as soon as possible and within 24 hours of payment notification. Please note that if purchasing through Discogs, they automatically set the status to ‘Payment Pending’. This does not mean your payment has not cleared. Discogs have no access to your payment details so can not see whether the payment has cleared.
All titles listed on our site are in stock in the shop to the best of our knowledge. Once you have placed an order, you will receive a confirmation email from us confirming your purchase. We will then endeavour to get your order processed and shipped out to you at the times specified below.

Rest of Europe : 3 – 5 business days
Rest of The World : 5 – 10 business days
Timings depend on postage class, along with the number, value and weight of your item. Times are not guaranteed but the best that we can estimate.

Orders are dispatched via Royal Mail’s Signed For 1st Class or Signed For 2nd Class.
1st Class: 10 inch, 12 inch and LP format is £4.45 for one item, £5.45 for two to three items and £6.45 for four to five items. 1 to 2 days delivery.
2nd class: 10 inch, 12 inch and LP format is £3.95 for one item, £4.95 for two to three items and £5.95 for four to five items. 2 to 5 days delivery.
Bulk orders will be dispatched via courier to be delivered within 2 to 5 days.

- Up to 100 LPs, 10 inch,12 inch: £20
Orders will be dispatched via registered Airmail, with delivery time 3 to 5 days. The shipping price depends on the number, value, size and weight of your item. Registered Airmail for 10 inch, 12 inch and LP format is £11.25 for the first item and £2 for each additional item. Double LPs and box sets will incur additional shipping costs.

Rest of the World shipping
Orders will be dispatched via registered or unregistered Airmail, with delivery time 5 to 10 days.
The shipping price depends on the number, value, size and weight of your item. Registered Airmail for 10 inch, 12 inch and LP format is £13.50 for the first item and £2 for each additional item. Double LPs and box sets will incur additional shipping costs. Unregistered Airmail for 10 inch, 12 inch and LP format is £9 for the first item and £2 for each additional item. Double LPs and box sets will incur additional shipping costs.
If you are ordering more than 40 LPs/12 inch please e-mail us with your zip code and the shipping country and we will give you the best price for a courier.
Public holidays, adverse weather conditions and strikes can all cause postage delays and unfortunately are beyond our control, so please be patient if these issues could be holding up your order. If you are concerned that an item has been delayed despite this, please get in contact by phone, email or in person.
If the estimated delivery time has passed and you’ve accounted for anything that could be out of our control, it’s a good idea to check your local postal sorting office – records don’t fit in many letterboxes. In the UK, you should receive a notification card but sometimes these can get lost too. If an item is not collected from a sorting office and needs to be returned to us, you will need to pay for package and postage again. Packages are classed as missing officially once they have been undelivered for 15 business days after postage. Again, please get in contact via email if this is the case.
If a package is returned to us as an unsuccessful delivery due to an incorrect address being provided, it not being collected from the sorting office or for any other reason beyond our control, you will be expected to pay the additional postage for redelivery.
If you prefer, you can come into the shop to collect your order instead of using the postage service. The process is the same for checkout and process but there will be no charge for postage. You will receive an email letting you know when you can come and pick it up – usually within 24 hours.
Your debit/credit card or PayPal account will be charged when you place your order. If choosing to pay via PayPal, you’ll be redirected to their secure site to process the payment.
Should you encounter any issues with an order you have placed or received from us, please let us straight away at email@example.com with your order number and full details of the issue you’re having and we will aim to resolve it with you. If there is anything missing or incorrect in your order, please check the statement enclosed carefully to make sure it matches the order you placed online. You can check this from the ‘my account’ section of the site. If it does match but the item is still incorrect, or missing, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number and details of the error.
If you need to cancel an order that you have already checked out, please email us at email@example.com so that we can cancel it for you and issue a refund. You are entitled to do this up to three days after placing an order, but please be aware that as we expedite orders in 24 hours, we may not be able to respond to your request before we have posted the order to you. In this case, please follow our returns procedure below. If we need to cancel your purchase for any reason, this will also be within 24 hours.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you can return it to us within 30 days of receipt, once you have notified us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and received instructions. This can be in the shop, or by post. You will be liable for postage costs. You will need to take reasonable care to ensure the records are not damaged in transit and that they are labelled clearly and addressed to The Record Album, 8 Terminus Road, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 3PD, United Kingdom. We reserve the right to not process returns sent to us without prior permission.
We will then provide a full refund for items returned in accordance with these conditions as soon as possible, and no later than 30 days after we receive returns from you. It is your responsibility to retain possession and to take reasonable care of the goods in the period prior to return and until you send them back to us.
All prices include VAT. You are responsible for paying any customs duties or taxes that are applicable in your country. Please be aware that although we will do our best to include the value of your order, customs may hold your package and we have no control over this.
Whilst we aim to keep the website up to date with current prices, they are subject to change. If there is a difference in the price of your item when you placed your order online and the price of when it is shipped, we will contact you to make sure you want to proceed. If the price is in fact lower than advertised, we will refund the difference and proceed with the order.
If a record has a legal age restriction or parental guidance warning, then you must confirm that you are of the correct legal age to purchase.
We aim to keep the site up to date and as accurate as possible with all product information but, on occasion, there may be variances. If you notice a significant difference between the product information online and the order you have received, please contact us at email@example.com to let us know.
